The best viewing deck in town is on the roof of the Pelican Grand Resort just north of Show Center. From twelve floors up you’ll experience the sight and sound of the air show as the jets roar overhead. Looking south you’ll have a 270 panoramic view and be able to see clear to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. When you want to get out of the sun, grab a seat under the cabana or step inside the penthouse suite directly off the deck. The Pelican Perch will feature a catered lunch buffet available all afternoon with complimentary soft drinks, water, beer and wine. Each ticket comes with a premium merchandise package including an official event t-shirt, hat, program guide and commemorative event credential. You’ll also receive a reserved VIP parking permit for Reserved Lot “C” in Birch State Park

No, the rooftop is not included with rooms at the Pelican
so tempting. I want to take awesome pictures. Is there view North from the perch? I’m afraid looking South will be right at the sun.
Yes, there is a terrace on the North corner of the building as well and you’ll have access to both.

VIP parking “C” in Birch State Park LOOKS great … but how do we get to the Pelican Grand from there? Hop the fence? Help … this walk is actually ALL the way back down to Sunrise and then ALL the way back up to the Pelican Grand. Suggestions?

You will find a ticket gate as you arrive on a1a or you can ask one of the volunteers in blue shirts
